Vegetarian Soup Recipes – Cabbage Soup
A cabbage soup diet is a quick weight loss programme for shedding extra pounds in a healthy way.
There are several ways to make cabbage soup. You can combine cabbage with stock/broth and add seasonings or use a mix of vegetables. Add spicy sauces or pastes of different cuisines to add a twist to your base ingredient for variety and flavour.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp – Oil
3/4 – Chinese cabbage cored shredded
3 cup – Broth
1/4 tsp – Ginger finely chopped
1/2 tsp – Garlic finely chopped
1/4 cup – Mushrooms sliced
4 tbsp – Spring onion sliced
1 tbsp – Soy sauce
1/2 No – Lime juice
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Method:
Heat oil in a sauce pan and add ginger, garlic cabbage, onion, and cook till soft.
Add the liquids except lime juice and let the mix simmer for 10-15 mins.
Finish by adding the lime juice.
