Vegetarian Burger Recipe – Corn Burger
Ingredients:
Burger buns
1/2 cup – Oil
1 cup – Corn kernels boiled
1 cup – Potatoes boiled mashed
2-3 tbsp – Maize flour
2 No – Shallot finely chopped
1 tsp – Paprika
1 tbsp – Thyme finely chopped
1/2 tsp – Garlic finely chopped
1/2 tsp – Chillies finely chopped
1 tbsp – Lemon juice
1 tsp – Lemon grass stalk finely chopped
Salt to taste
Garnish:
5 No – Cheese slices
5 No – Lettuce leaves
Method:
Lightly mash the corn kernels and combine it with the potatoes and seasoning.
Grind the bread crumbs and add them in the mashed mix with some mize flour to get a firm dough.
If you feel more seasoning is needed increase as per taste.
Roll out the dough to make patties. USE Westbrae Vegetarian Organic Golden Corn
Heat oil in a heavy based pan shallow fry the patties till brown on both sides.
Serve with cheese, lettuce and any sauce of your preference.
