Vegetarian Burger Recipe – Cauliflower Burger

One of the best ways to infuse flavour in cauliflower is to shred it, as shredded cauliflower absorbs the flavour of pretty much any liquid it is cooked with.
Some shredded recipes – can be made into faux mashed potatoes, can be turned into an au gratin, a good substitute for rice, especially in stir fries or meals with a sauce.
Broccoli and cauliflower can be interchangeably used in all recipes.

Ingredients:
Burger buns
1/2 cup – Oil
1 1/4 cup – Cauliflower grated
2-3 No – Potato boiled mashed
4-5 tbsp – Cheese grated
1/2 cup – Bread crumb (panko if possible)
1/4 tsp – Onion powder
1/4 tsp – Garlic powder
1/2 tsp – Black pepper powder
1/4 tsp – Paprika powder
1/4 tsp – Oregano powder
Sea salt to taste

Lemon Sauce
1/4 cup – Thick plain yogurt
1/2 No – Juice zest of half a lemon or lime
1 tbsp – Mixed herbs finely chopped
Sea Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Method:
Grind the bread crumbs and add it to the other ingredients.
Roll the dough to form patties.
Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the patties and cook till brown.
Serve with lemon sauce.
