Vegetarian Burger Recipe - 2

Indian Burger


Ingredients:
5 No - Burger buns
1/4 cup - Oil
1/2 cup - Potatoes boiled mashed
1/2 cup - Cabbage or Cauliflower finely chopped
1/4 cup - French beans finely chopped
1/4 cup - Peas boiled
1/4 cup - Carrots parboiled
1/4 cup - Green peppers
1 No - Onion finely chopped
5 No - Garlic finely chopped or grated
3 No - Green Chilli finely chopped
5 No - Bread Crumbs
2 tbsp - Corn Flour
1/4 tsp - Ginger finely chopped or grated
1 tsp - Dry mango powder heaped
Salt to taste

If possible, try and use cabbage rather than cauliflower.

Method:
Heat oil in a pan add french beans, cabbage, onions and saute for about 2-3 mins. Add the sauté ingredients to the remaining vegetables along with the potatoes and seasonings.
Grind the bread crumbs and add them in the vegetable mix with some corn flour to get a firm dough.
If you feel more seasoning is needed increase as per taste or if extra corn flour is needed for binding then add some.
Roll out the dough to make patties. Worthington Vegetarian Burger, Low Fat, 20-Ounce Cans

Heat a heavy based pan (preferably cast iron) and add 2-3 tbsp of oil.
Place the patties on it and let it cook till brown. Then reverse the side and do the same.

You can have green chutney and ketchup as an accompaniment.
