This sauce was a mixture of vinegar and sugar, with a few other local spices. Usually used as a dip or for salads, rather than cooking. The sweet and sour sauce cooking sauce has its root in, American-Chinese cooking. Sweet & Sour Sauce 
Ingredients: 1 tbsp - Soy sauce 3/4 cup - Pineapple juice 3 tbsp - Brown Sugar 1/4 cup - Vinegar 2 tbsp - Ketchup 2 tbsp - Cornstarch 4 tsp - Water Method: Mix all the ingredients and cook over low heat until thickened. Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce 
Sweet Chilli Sauce Ingredients: 1/4 cup - Sugar 1/4 cup - White vinegar 1/4 cup - Water 4 No - Red chillies long variety or Dry long chillies 1 tbsp - Soy sauce 1 tsp - Garlic finely chopped 1/2 tsp - Salt Method: Grind all the ingredients except water to a smooth paste. Then add the mix to a pan and give it a good boil. Cool and keep in air tight jar. Kraft Sweet N Sour Sauce
