Sauce Recipes – Plum Sauce
Plum sauce is a popular condiment which features in plenty of Chinese recipes. It’s sweet and savoury flavour makes it a popular choice with most fried foods.
Rather than fresh plums preserved small sized ones are used and that too, mainly as a dipping sauce. As the sauce has become popular in many cultures, it is sometimes used in preparation of steak or duck sauces or added to vegetarian sushi and to hamburgers for additional favour.
Ingredients:
1 No – Garlic clove minced
1 tsp – Parsley
2 tbsp – Vinegar
2 tbsp – Soy sauce
3/4 tsp – Basil dried
1/2 cup – Plum jam
1/2 tsp – Thyme
1/2 tsp – Salt
Method:
Blend all ingredients thoroughly and serve.
