Salad Recipes – Orange Salad
Low calorie fruit based salads are an healthy option. Citrus fruit such as orange either can be made with no dressing or a low fat one rather than whipped cream or a sugary topping.
Some options include, replacing lettuce, with spinach. It is not only a low calorie green, but will add more vitamins and nutrients.
Ingredients:
4 No – Oranges
1 No – Red onion large
1 cup – Spianch leaves
1 cup – Arugula chopped
1/4 cup – French dressing – Reduced Fat French Dressing
Dressing
2 tbsp – Honey
1 tsp – Mustard
3/4 cup – Extra virign olive oil
1/3 cup – Cider Vinegar
1/4 tsp – Pepper
1 tsp – Salt

Method:
Blend the dressing ingredients and gradually keep adding oil to get a creamy mixture. Or alternatively, use ready french dressing.
Wash the lettuce leaves and soak in ice cold water to give crispiness.
Arrange the lettuce leaves on plate.
Slice oranges (remove skin) and cut them in sections.
Add the onions and toss well.
Pour the dressing and toss gently. Serve.
You can replace with lettuce leaves.
