Salad Dressing Recipes – Ranch Dressing & Zesty Dressing

In California, Steve and Gayle Henson opened Hidden Valley Ranch for tourists/guests in 1954.
They served a dressing that Steve had developed. And its popularity made them open up a factory for bottled packaging which guests could take home.
By 1972 the brand was bought by Clorox. They reformulated the dressing to include commercial buttermilk flavouring and later even bettered the recipe to incorporate a non refrigerated bottled formulation.
