Rice Recipes – Masur Rice
Ingredients:
2 tbsp – Oil
1 No – Bay leaf
1/2 cup – Black gram (masur black)
1 cup – Rice
1 No – Onion sliced
2 No – Tomatoes chopped
Salt to taste
Spice Mix
2 tbsp – Poppy seeds/curd/ water melon seeds
1 tsp – Coriander powder
1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds roasted
1 inch – Ginger chopped
1 tbsp – Garlic chopped
6 No – Red chillies (kashmiri)

Method:
Grind the spice mix to make a smooth paste.
Heat the oil in a pan, and fry the bay leaf and onions till brown.
Add the tomatoes and the spices and cook till done 7 mins (if using curd than add it after beating well).
Cook the rice separately and set aside.
You can use a combination of seeds and curd as well.
