Rice Recipes – Khichdi

Ingredients:
1 tbsp – Ghee
1/2 cup – Rice
1/2 cup – Yellow gram (Moong Dal)
1/4 tsp – Cumin
1 No – Green chilli
1 No – Onion chopped
Pinch of turmeric
Salt to taste

Method:
Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin green chilli and onion. Cook till brown.
Steam the lentil and rice in a pressure cooker.
Mix well and add it to the onion mix (you can pour additional ghee in the khichdi if desired).
Serve hot with yogurt.

You can make the same recipe by replacing yellow moong with green moong (green gram).
For this recipe you only need to steam the rice and dal.
Mix well and pour ghee and serve.
