Rice RecipesRice Recipes - 19 Lentil Rice
Ingredients: 1 cup - Rice 1/2 cup - Yellow pigeon pea lentils (tur) 4 tbsp - Black lentils (masur) 1 No - Potato medium steamed diced 1 No - Green chilli sliced 1/2 tsp - Garlic finely chopped 3 tbsp - Carrots diced steamed 1 No - Onion chopped 1/4 tsp - Ginger chopped 1 tsp - Coriander powder 1/8 tsp - Turmeric 1 tsp - Cumin seeds 1 tbsp - Lemon juice Salt to taste Method: Steam the lentils before hand and set aside. Black Beluga Lentils Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and onion fry until fragrant. Add the vegetables and seasonings and cook for 2-3 mins. Add the rice and lentils continue to cook for 2-3 mins. RiceSelect Royal Blend, Texmati White, Brown, Wild, & Red Rice Recipe - 20 Brinjal or Aubergine Rice Ingredients: 2 tbsp - Oil 1 cup - Rice 1 No - Potato large diced 1 No - Onion diced 1/4 cup - Peas boiled (optional) 3 No - Aubergines diced 1 tsp - Curry leaves 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds 2 tbsp - Coconut grated 2 No - Green chilli chopped 1 tsp - Coriander powder 1/4 tsp - Ginger chopped 1/2 tbsp - Lemon juice Salt to taste Free spice sample of your choice click here Method: Alternatively you can add the first 9 ingredients and the ready vangi bhat masala to make brinjal rice too. You may or not add coconut. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and onion fry until brown. Add the coconuts and seasonings. Add the vegetables and seasonings cook for a while.
