Mushroom Sauce Recipe


Ingredients:
1 tbsp - Butter
1 cup - Mushrooms finely sliced
1 tsp - Garlic minced
2 No - Shallots medium finely chopped
2 tbsp - Parsley chopped
3/4 cup - Milk
1 tsp - Corn flour
1/4 cup - Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp - Pepper
Pinch or two of mustard (optional)
Salt to taste


Method:
Heat the butter in a pan and add the garlic, shallots, mushrooms, seasonings.
Cook till the mushrooms get tender and its liquid evaporates.
Stir the flour into the pan and slowly keep adding the milk.
Stir constantly until thickened.
Turn off the heat and add the cheese parsley. Free spice sample of your choice click here

This sauce can be used for any pasta recipe.



Variation


Ingredients:
1 tbsp - Butter
1 cup - Mushrooms finely minced
1 tsp - Garlic minced
2 No - Shallots medium finely chopped
1 tbsp - Parsley finely chopped
1 tbsp - Tomato paste
2 tbsp - Vegetable broth
1/4 tsp - Pepper
Salt to taste


Method:
Heat oil in a pan and saute the garlic and parsley. When the garlic turns golden add the mushrooms.
Cook over high heat till the liquid dries.
Reduce heat and add the tomato paste, seasoning, simmer and cook till the sauce is done (approx. 8-10 mins).
Add the broth and turn off the heat.
