Lentil Recipes – Masur Aloo Dal

Ingredients:
2 tbsp – Oil
1 cup – Red lentils (masoor dal) Red Mill Red Lentils
3 No – Garlic cloves finely chopped
1/4 tsp – Red chilli powder
2 No – Potatoes boiled
2 No – Tomaotes finely chopped
1/4 tsp – Turmeric
1/2 tsp – Garam masala
1 tbsp – Coriander chopped
Salt to taste

Paste
1 inch – Ginger
3 No – Garlic clove
1 No – Onion large chopped
1/4 tsp – Cumin seeds
1/4 tsp – Coriander powder
Salt to taste

Method:
Steam the dal in 2-2.5 cups of water and set aside.
Heat oil in pan and add garlic to it.
When the garlic starts turning brown add the paste and let it cook for a while (5 mins).
Next add the tomatoes with the masalas and let them cook well.
Add the dal with boiled potatoes and let the mix cook. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
