Ingredients: 4 tbsp - Oil 1 tsp - Asofedita (Full Hing) 2 tbsp - Coriander seeds 1 tbsp - Cumin seeds 1 tbsp - Garlic paste 4 No - Kashmiri red chilli 1 tbsp - Bengal gram (channa dal) 3 tbsp - Coconut (grated) 1 No - Red Onion large chopped 1 No - Green pepper chopped 5 No - Red pumpkin pieces (bhopla) 5 No - Drumstick pieces 1 cup - Yellow dal (toor dal) 1 tbsp - Jaggery 1 tbsp - Curry leaves 1 tsp - Sugar 1 tbsp - Tamarind dissolve in hot water Salt to taste Method: Take the first 7 ingredients briefly fry them and then grind to make a paste or Buy MTR Sambar Powder 200g Fry onions, capsicum, pumpkin and drumsticks in a pan. Add garlic paste and cook further for a min or two. Then add the dal and when it comes to a boil, add the ground paste. Cook further. (if there is any froth please remove it). Then add the rest along with onions. When the onions turn pink add ginger, chilli, garlic and cook till begins to brown. Add turmeric, lemon juice and tur dal. Blend channa dal and then add it to the above mix. Garnish with fresh coriander. Serve hot.
