Lentil Burger Recipe
Ingredients:
Burger buns
1/2 cup – Oil
1 cup – Brown lentils cooked
1/2 cup – Rice short grain
1 No – Onion finely chopped
2 tbsp – Corn flour
1/2 tsp – Chilli powder
1/2 tsp – Garlic grated or finely chopped
1/2 tsp – Cumin powder
1 tsp – Coriander powder
1/2 tbsp – Coriander freshly chopped
Salt to taste

Method:
Add lentils to a stock pot and immerse them in about twice their volume of water.
Bring to a boil and simmer until cooked – about 20-30 mins. Drain the liquid and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan add the onion and fry till it softens.
Add the garlic and continue to fry until soft.
Add the seasonings and lentils and rice. Turn off heat.
Shape the mixture into patties and roll them in rice flour if needed.
Grill each patty over hot coals or a stove top grill or cast iron skillet until lightly brown on both sides.
