Indian Appetizers - 2


Poha Pattice


Ingredients:
1 cup - Oil
1 cup - Poha (Rice flakes)
2 1/4 cup - Potatoes
2 tbsp - Green chilli paste
1 1/2 tbsp - Garlic paste
1/2 cup - Corn flour
Salt to taste


Method:
Prepare a cornflour batter, using little water (thick consistency).
Sieve the poha.
Mix it with the remaining ingredients using a light hand.
Roll into any desired shape.
Dip in the batter and making sure the patties is well coated on all sides.
Heat oil in a pan and fry till light brown.
Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup.


Appetizer - 3


Stuffed Coconut Pattice


Ingredients:
1 cup - Oil
1/2 cup - Potatoes boiled mashed
1 cup - Fresh coconut grated
1 tbsp - Coriander fresh
2 tsp - Green chillies
5 No - Cashewnuts chopped
1/4 cup - Bread crumbs or Semolina (Rawa)
Salt to taste


Method:
Mix coconut, coriander and cashews together.
Mix potatoes and bread crumbs or semolina together.
Make a hollow circle taking some potato and add the coconut filling and close it using additional potatoes. Press the mould to make it into round patties.
Heat 2-3 tbsp of oil in casr iron pan or tava.
Place the patties and cook both sides till brown.
Serve hot with green chutney.
