Hoisin Sauce Recipe

Hoisin sauce recipe is created by a fusion of soya based sweet and salt ingredients, usually used for mainly Chinese barbecuing and stir fry recipes.
Hoisin sauce has a strong pungent odour. It is dark in colour usually of a thick consistency.
So if trying for the first time, use the sauce sparingly.

Hoisin Sauce

Ingredients:
1 tbsp – Sesame oil
2 tbsp – Black bean paste or Peanut butter
6 tbsp – Soy sauce
1 tbsp – Honey or brown sugar
1/2 tsp – Garlic powder or fresh garlic
1/4 tsp – Pepper
1 tbsp – Hot chilli sauce or any Chinese hot sauce

Method:
Whisk the ingredients together till you get a smooth paste and store till use.
