Healthy Cooking Recipes – Adai
Ingredients:
Oil as needed
110 gms – Rice uncooked
2 tbsp – Pigeon pea lentils
2 tbsp – Bengal gram
2 tbsp – White gram
5 No – Red chillies
3 tbsp – Coconut grated
3 No – Onion finely chopped
1 tsp – Curry leaves chopped
3 tbsp – Coriander leaves chopped
1 tsp – Curry leaves chopped
Salt to taste
Method:
Soak the lentils and rice in separate pans for a few hours. Drain water.
Mix the two add chillies and salt and grind to a coarse paste (if the paste is very thick then add a little water).
Add the rest and mix except oil and mix.
Heat a cast iron pan, take a ladle full of batter pour it on it and spread in circular motion (medium size) then leave a few drops of oil around its edges.
Once it begins to brown flip side and cook till a little brown. Serve hot with chutney.
