Curry Recipes – Green Vati Curry
Ingredients:
1/2 cup – Oil
1 No – Coriander bunch finely chopped
200 gms – Gram flour
100 gms – Rice flour
1/8 tsp – Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp – Red chilli powder
Method:
Mix all the ingreidents and knead into a dough (use some water if necessary for binding).
Roll into lemon size balls by applying some oil on your palm.
Grease a flat pan place the balls on it and pressure cook for 15 mins.
Remove and allow to cool.
Masala
1 cup – Oil
2 No – Onion chopped
10 No – Garlic cloves
1 inch – Ginger
1 cup – Coconut grated
6 No – Curry leaves chopped
2 tsp – Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp – Sugar
1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp – Red chilli powder
2 tsp – Sesame seed
1 1/2 tsp – Garam masala
Salt to taste
Method:
Make slits in the onions and roast them on the gas till black or grill. Peel and chop.
Roast mustard and sesame.
Grind the seasonings except sugar to a coarse mix (use little water if necessary).
Heat oil and add sugar once it turns brown add the rest and cook for a while.
Add 3 glasses of boiled water and rolls to the mix.
Cook for 15 mins till the mix thickens. Serve hot with rice or roti.
