Chutney Recipes – Raw Mango Chutney & Banana Chutney
Ingredients:
1 tsp – Oil
1 No – Sour mango peel grated
1/4 tsp – Mustard seeds
1/4 tsp – Fenugreek seeds
1/4 tsp – Red chilli
1/4 tsp – Turmeric
2 pinches asafoetida powder
Salt to taste
Method:
Heat oil and add the seeds. Once they splinter add the rest and cook for a while.
Store in an airtight container and keeps well for 2 weeks. Try from Pathak’s MANGO chutney collection
Major Grey’s Mango Chutney or sweet indian flavoured Sweet Mango Chutney
Banana Chutney
Ingredients:
1 cup – Tamarind
4 No – Banana pieces ripe
3/4 cup – Currants
1 tbsp – Cumin powder
2 tbsp – Ginger grated
3 tbsp – Sugar
2 tsp – Red chilli
Salt to taste
Method:
Soak tamarind in 2 cups of warm water. Extract the juice sieve and set aside.
Mix the rest excpet banana with the tamarind till sugar is dissolved.
Then add banana combine and serve.
