Chutney Recipes - 9


Dal Chuntey


Ingredients:
1 tsp - Oil
1/4 cup - Bengal gram (channa dal)
1 cup - White Lentils (urad dal)
5 No - Red chilli dry
1 tsp - Sesame seeds
1/4 tsp - Ginger
1 tsp - Tamarind paste
5 No - Curry leaves
1/4 tsp - Jaggery
2 pinches asafoetida powder (hing)
Salt to taste


Method:
Heat oil and roast the dals till golden brown.
Add red chillies and continue for a few seconds.
Mix the rest and then grind.
Store in an airtight container and keep.

Recipe - 10


Ginger Chutney


Ingredients:
1 tsp - Oil
1 tsp - Mustard seeds
50 gms - Ginger chopped
2 tbsp - Tamarind paste
2 No - Green chillies chopped
25 gms - Fresh coconut grated
1/4 tsp - Jaggery
5 No - Curry leaves
1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder (little less than 1/4 tsp)
Salt to taste

Method:
Heat oil and add the seeds once they splinter add the curry leaves. Turn off the gas.
